Zombie: For this screen-printing process, the zombie was a fit for the use of watercolor with screen printing. With watercolor screen printing, each print has different coloring, blending, and saturation. With that being part of the process of doing these types of prints, it mimics the decaying discolorations of skin texture that zombies have. The thicker bolder outline makes the design more graphic and sections off some of the colors printed.

Process: I started off with a sketch and then blocked out the darkest section of color that was going to be the final layer using the emulsion process. For the screens, I used drawing fluid to block out the head shape then filled the space around it using screen filler. Then on the second side of the screen I exposed my acetate layer of the darker linework. Instead of ink for printing the first layer, a transparent base is used. Watercolor is directly applied to the screen then using the transparent base and a squeegee the layers are added, and the process is repeated.
