My name is Sophie Koehl, and I am an interdisciplinary artist using sculpture and photography as primary mediums in my practice. I think about how sculptural materials can relate to concept and photography as a form of documentation and basis of narrative. My themes revolve around psychology, ecology, culture, and ephemera. My concepts are often autobiographical but relate to larger issues or universal experiences to form connections with my audience. My minor in Psychology and certificate in Art Therapy help inform my practice and inspire these connects to broader ideas.
